Interview not to be missed!

MELODY LANE: PRETTY BOY FLOYD new album, “Public Enemies”, will be released via the Italian label “Frontiers Music Srl” on 1st december. How did you get in touch with this label, that is a true giant for melodic and hard rock music, and what about the promotion of your new album?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS:  Frontiers was in contact with our booking agency and we sent them 3 songs . We did the deal and finished the album a year later.Promotion ?  music videos , live shows , social media and word of mouth, the strongest of them all.

MELODY LANE: Talking your bassist JK FAMOUS? In which bands he played in before joining PRETTY BOY FLOYD and your solo project?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS:JK has been in and out of PBF for over 15 years . He's been a friend of mine since I was 16 back in New York City . I absolutely love JK . He's drama free and a killer bass player.

MELODY LANE: PRETTY BOY FLOYD new album, “Public Enemies”, will be released via Frontiers Music Srl on 1st december. How can you describe the album in general? Are you totally satisfied with your choices about the sound and the writing? Which are the main differences with your past albums?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: We set out to make a record that sounded like 1988. We worked really hard on capturing that sound and vibe. I consider a true follow up to Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz .  I hope the fans enjoy it . The main difference between this album and Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz is the budget . This album was done in pro tools via low budget as opposed to a $300k budget haha .

MELODY LANE: List us 3 songs,  from the PRETTY BOY FLOYD discography, that you like the most to play live in concert…And why these songs? Have you already played live any of the new songs that will be included on the new album Public Enemies?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: My 3 favs to play live are: ‘Rock n Roll Outlaws’ , ‘Leather Boyz with Electric Toyz’ and ‘Wild Angels’ . We have played a few of these songs before and there is some previous demos of a few of them, but we will be showcasing songs from the new album for the first time December 1st, at the Whisky a Go Go record release party.

MELODY LANE:Any chance to see you playing live here in Europe in the near future? Any dates planned? What’s next for the band? Will you tour after the album will be released?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: Hopefully we will get to Europe in 2018 as well as South America, Mexico , Australia and Japan . We will playing some festivals in the USA. We've been waiting for the album to come out to really start planning for 2018.

MELODY LANE: Could you tell us two bands you never played with and you’d like PRETTY BOY FLOYD to tour with in the next future…?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS:  Well we played with Hardcore Superstar once and I would love to do a tour with them . Also , Michael Monroe . I've been a huge fan of both forever .

MELODY LANE:In the years you toured a lot, with many great bands, I remember tours with Quireboys, Enuff Z ‘Nuff and another one with Poison. Can tell us 2 or 3 of the greatest concert you have ever played? The best ones, the memorable ones…and any funny stories?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: The first one was with L.A. Guns at the Sandstone in Kansas City . It was an outdoor arena with over 30,000 people there . The other was with Warrant at the Universal Amphitheater. It was before we even recorded our debut album in front of 6,000 people . Good times .

MELODY LANE:  As a musician and as a band, what has been your biggest achievement to date and what do you want to achieve in the near future?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: I just want to have to have fun and enjoy life . I don't care about awards or the approval of others . My family and friends are the most important things in this world.

MELODY LANE: Apart from PRETTY BOY FLOYD , is your solo project still active? Can we expect any music in the future?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: Yes . I've been working on some new recordings . Maybe I'll finish them sometime when  Pretty Boy Floyd slows down a bit.

MELODY LANE:  Which bands and guitarists are your main musical inspirations?... And which are your favorite bands nowadays?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: Johnny Thunders , Ace Frehley , Johnny Ramone and Jake E. Lee are my favorite guitarists . I listen to so much music and I think people would laugh to find out I'm a Britney Spears fan . Ha ha…

MELODY LANE:How do you see the Glam/Street scene today? Of course less wild and more clean…Motley ended with great tours, Guns 'n' Roses are doing sold out everywhere...Ratt, Poison and L.A. Guns are doing great with their reunion tours and maybe new albums...And what about the new, young and emerging bands? Can you suggest us any new good and fresh band raising?
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: Wow . I'm the wrong person to ask that question . Lol . Good music will always find an audience . Work hard and don't expect to make millions . Ha ha ha...

MELODY LANE: In the end, a message to all MELODY LANE followers and readers…
KRISTY "KRASH" MAJORS: Thank you for all kind words  and support  . It is truly appreciated.
